Rock Hard “Mighty” Mason Menard vs. Carlos “El Profeta” Cardenas

This fight as well as the entire card, is locked in, it will happen and we are READY TO GO!!!!
In an absolute sensational night of fights, Louisiana’s hometown hero, will have the opportunity to rise to the occasion and fight one of the toughest fighters to date locally. I was asked about this fight on several occasions but wasn’t sure Mason was at that level just yet so, we turned it down for a couple years. Greg Cohen stated if Mason can’t beat this kid, where do we go? I believe at home Mason will show up and that’s where the excitement begins, please believe this, this guy is no slouch, he has been in the ring with everyone.

In a fight that will have the building at the edge of their seats, standing and doing the Happy Dance while the excitement will be REAL, as we get to see first hand, Mason Menard attempting to climb, scratch and crawl his way back into the limelight, in a very tough fight.  Looking more in depth of Cardenas career, in only his 8th professional fight he fought then 18-2 Petr Petrov, everyone remembers Petrov from the ESPN lightweight tournament as he won the whole thing and placed himself on the map. Cardenas lost a decision in the Petrov fight. Cardenas came right back and went to war knocking out 24-1 Rafael Guzman in 1 round for the WBC Fecabox Title. Then he would take on Marco Antonio Lopez 14-0 and dropped a 12 round decision loss, jumped right back in to KO Angel Villegas 7-1 in 1 round, then KO’d Jorge Pazo’s 13-2 in only 1 round, the kid has lost a few but hey, look at who he lost to? He lost an 8 round decision to now I.B.F. World Lightweight Champion Robert Easter, went 10 rounds with Juan Diaz and won rounds, lost to Marco Isaias Gonzales who was 16-1 in a split decision loss. The most important factor of this entire scenario is, Mason Menard coming of a 7th round ko loss, to fight Cardenas coming off a very impressive win against Jovanny Soto 41 wins with 35ko’s. Can Mason Menard be as impressive as he can be? Or will the Venezuelan be able to check Menard’s chin? I believe this will be one of Mason’s toughest tests to date, here at home locally. In a real scorcher, and a fabulous under-card, ladies and gentleman don’t miss this exciting night of fights!
