For those residing in the Acadiana and surrounding areas, consider this your warning: Take Cover. Because on June 20th at Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino, the ground will quake, the earth will shake, buildings will pop because Bombs Will Drop. Boxncar Promotions will create craters in the land where we walk with another incredibly stacked boxing card full of jaw dropping encounters that will leave you gasping for more.
In the night’s opening affair 2 lightweights will take the ring with a purpose. Their purpose will be to begin a stamp to their boxing legacy in southern Louisiana. Josh Ross has never fought an opponent that has lost any fight and the trend will continue when he welcomes Canton Miller to the world of professional boxing for the first time. Will Miller be successful or will he drop from a rocket launching Josh Ross right hand?
Then the big men go to business. Two gargantuan heavyweights will put down their shields and pick up their fists to land meteors on each other’s faces. Dwight Gipson has never been in a fight that didn’t bring audiences out of their chairs. He will look to send new-comer, Marlon Williams on a one way ticket to the mat.
Another lightweight attraction will follow when “DIron Soldier” Devin Parker, who just went the distance with an Olympic gold medalist boxer in O’shanique Foster, will take on Clay Burns. Will Burns sizzle the fans at the Downs? Or will  DIron Soldier Devin Parker, park Burns posterior on the canvas?  This is a quote Devin posted to facebook:

Glory to God, I really cant complain but I’d rather be doing boxing full time. I keep getting these fight offers a day before the fight on big cards fighting the type of opponents I wanna fight. June 20th I’m fighting Clay Burns, a real tough fighter that I know coming to bang. He trying to make a name for himself and beating me would officially make him a boxer. Really this fight is a no win for me unless I KNOCK THIS KID OUT. I have to. He fighting for his career and I am fighting for my RESPECT. I never fought for respect, but I am tired traveling through the valley of the shadow of death, and if I am going to do it anyway why not be as fly as I can before I die. Ima set myself on fire, and let the world see me burn.
In an exceptional, exciting, highly anticipated lightweight battle…Chad Broussard from Beaumont, Texas will do battle with highly regarded Randy Gipson, Broussard has an all action press forward Mexican style, this is a highly anticipated fight, I am very pleased to have this fight for the viewing privilege of the fans of South Louisiana, Bombs Dropping and Electrifying fights.
Another undefeated fighter, welterweight Josh Joseph might as well have a shovel in his back pocket, because he is used to burying his opposition.  However his opponent Darrell Jones is no stranger to quality opponents. In his last 4 fights, his opponents have a combined record of  30-4-1 and he’s fought all over the east coast.  Will Jones come away with a win when he brings his boxing career west? Or will Joseph show why his record is the best?
Yet another undefeated fighter in Morgan Fitch will put his 12-0 record on the line against The Wolverine Claws from Wichita Falls, David Lujan.  Fitch will be the 4th undefeated fighter in a row that Lujan has faced and his opponents combined records are an 20-0. However Fitch’s style is known for bringing many stitches for awhile. Will he remain unblemished or will Lujan find just enough luck to get the biggest win of his career?
Rising from the ashes from the bombs that the previous bouts will provide, will be Jay Krupp taking on Santos “El Toro” Benavides. The last time Krupp fought in Louisiana, he encountered an absolute war with fan favorite Todd Manuel. Jay is from the same mean streets of Catskill, New York just like the legendary Iron Mike Tyson. However Santos is from arguably the meaner streets of Nicaragua. Benavides is coming off a mind-blowing first round knock out over a 16-1 kid. In just one round he changed his advisory’s career. What will he do when he walks up to Krupp? Find out on Saturday June 20th at  Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino, don’t forget to bring a helmet, because Bombs. Will. Drop.
