Cotton Festival Schedule of Events 2018

Festivals are everywhere this weekend in the Acadiana area and also live music and events. The Cotton Festival Started this week and tomorrow is the start of the Family Night at The Carnival. All Cotton Festival events are held at the North Side Civic Center – 704 N. Soileau Street in Ville Platte, LA.

Thursday, October 11, 2018

​5:00 pm –  Family Night at the Carnival (Admission to fairgrounds is FREE)

5:00 pm to 10:00 pm – Bracelet hours at the Carnival

Friday, October 12, 2018

 Admission all day into fairgrounds

   Adults & Children 13 yrs & over = $6.00

​     $2.00 for children 12 yrs to 6 yrs

             5 yrs and under FREE

1:00 pm – Carnival opens

1:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Bracelet hours at Carnival

6:00 pm to 12 Midnight – Fais-Do-Do Street Dance

6:00 pm to 7:30 pm – Dj with a mix of music 

7:30 pm to 9:45 pm – Keith Frank and The Soileau Zydeco Band

10:00 pm to Midnight – Wayne Toups

Saturday, October 13, 2018

10:00 am to 10:30 am – Contestants & Visiting Queens arrive

11:00 am – Contestant interviews (private event)

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm – Royal Reception (private event)

1:00 pm – Family Day at the Carnival (Admission to fairgrounds is FREE)

1:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Bracelet hours at Carnival

5:30 pm – Cotton Coronation – Crowning of King & Queen Cotton (Admission to Coronation – $5.00 for Adults & Children)

Sunday, October 14, 2018

8:30 am – Cotton Harvest Mass – at Our Lady Queen of All Saint church , 1220 West Dardeau Street

12:00 pm – “Grand Parade of Cotton” – main street running west to east

1:00 pm – Family Day at the Carnival  (Admission to fairgrounds is FREE)

1:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Bracelet hours at Carnival

3:00 pm – Running of the Tournoi – Industrial Park

6:00 pm – Cotton Festival 2018 Closes!!
