“Guitar Talk” with Bret Vidrine: The Cowboy Without A Hat.
Getting to know live music in Acadiana has it’s experiences. You meet many people who share a great love for just about every genre of music. And sometimes you meet musicians that are always working on a song that just does not seem to be “complete” yet. Sometimes you are lucky enough to hear them play one of these songs they are working on.
Bret Vidrine is an accomplished songwriter on his way to writing a hit or two. Bret currently is a writer for local country artist Sammy Kershaw, and has been for the past three years. BretΒ has made his way to Nashville, LA, has arranged his own band, and is now an accomplished published writer. Bret moved here originally from Alexandria, LA about 11 years ago after pulling the city name out of a hat. He says he “Loves Lafayette”. And it’s always good to see what he is working on next. When you first meet Bret Vidrine he is a quiet guy who enjoys telling a joke or two. Then he grabs a guitar and teaches you what he “has to say” from experiences, life, and an abundance or working hard. Enjoy “Guitar Talk” with Bret Vidrine. In the video below he plays three original songs. And don’t be surprised when you hear them on the radio one day. Best of luck Bret in the future, and keep on writing!
