Curfews in place in other parishes in Acadiana

There will be NO curfew within the City of Lafayette tonight.

All curfews listed below were in place for Saturday August 13, 2016. As of Sunday August 14, 2016, all have been lifted.

Curfews are in place in different cities across Acadiana:

Iberia Parish curfew has been issued for 7 p.m. tonight to 7 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Lafayette Parish curfew has been issued for 7 p.m. tonight. This curfew applies to and will be enforced in all municipalities including Broussard, Carencro, Duson, Lafayette, Scott and Youngsville.

The night-time curfew applies for all citizens (with exception of emergency personnel).

·       Non-essential business operations should be suspended from 7 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. on the morning of August 14. This includes all private business establishments such as restaurants, bars and retail establishments. All employees, visitors and patrons should allow themselves enough travel time to return to their homes before the curfew begins.

·       Drivers or individuals who are seen on the streets are subject to enforcement action.

Acadia Parish is issuing a mandatory curfew from 6:00 p.m. Saturday to 6:00 a.m. Sunday

Crowley and Rayne are under a mandatory curfew from now until 6 a.m.

Vermilion Parish mandatory curfew 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Saturday and Sunday)

Abbeville mandatory curfew starting now until 5 a.m.

Gueydan has issued a mandatory curfew for 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Erath a mandatory curfew from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM

Kaplan a mandatory curfew underway.
