DSC_5420This Friday August 8, at Nite Town in downtown Lafayette, LA a great group of musicians will be bringing you some new sounds and a article1new experience. DOUBLEWIDE will be playing a collection of hard, southern rock, and mixed genre country along with an amazing light show starting at 9pm. DOUBLWIDE’s music has been on tour with Junior Brown, Reverend Horton Heat, Cross-Canadian Ragweed & Cracker. They will be delivering an original good time!

Every time we have seen DOUBLEWIDE they are coming at you with everything they have on stage.

DOUBLEWIDE is the evolution of two bands that were formed over 14 years ago in Ft Collins, Colorado. Frontman Matt Thornton is originally from Rawlins, Wyoming and has lived in Lafayette, LA for the past three years. Dave “PapaPuff” Nezat from Eunice, Louisiana is on drums. Dave was the drummer for Grammy award winning Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp band along with other _DSC0051notable National and regional acts. Justin Lewis from Odessa Tx is the lead guitarist. Justin has played with Wayne Toups, Jamie Bergeron, Spank the Monkey, Charlie Rivers, Joel Sonnier and many other local artist of Acadiana. Shannon May of Lafayette Louisiana holds down the low end and is an ex pro skate-boarder and bass player of the Roebucks and Sidewinder. (facebook)
