I will never forget seeing MACHETE play for the first time. Any time I have seen this band in action, it was never a dull moment! Great sounds, horns, mixes, bass lines, guitars coming at ya, and some amazing drum licks with every turn. Evertything th “FUNK” should be and more.  Tonight the band celebrates the end of a name, but not the end of great new things to come from some great guys and very talented musicians.

We will be watching the members as much as we can at Live And Local. And any new chatter of new sounds from the members we will be sure to let you know! Yesterday we had a chance to speak briefly with the bands guitarist Austin Hoffpauir he had this to say on behalf of the band. “Thanks everyone for the massive amount of love and support over these past four years. You guys have allowed us to follow our passion of music and grow not only as musicians, but as people. We are heartbroken to have to en it, but we will remember our time in Machete for the rest of our lives”

Tonight will certainly be going out with the funk, and a bang tonight at Artmosphere Bistro located at 902 Johnston St, Lafayette, Louisiana 70501 and get their early the place will be packed!
