Q and A with Becca Cord on Live And Local…
Q. What do you feel is your vision after three years of being creative and making video in the Acadiana area?
A. Wow it’s been three years…my answer would have to be the same as when I started my blog many years ago… and it started with something bigger. I tend to go with the flow and now I know many of the artists I have enjoyed working with. Supporting the Lafayette area’s music, art, and leisure scene. As they grow, I will grow too, and that feels great!
Q. What do you feel that you can help many in the Acadiana area with when it comes to Videography?
A. I feel what I can give is a creative resource to many. I am willing to work with who may needΒ me. I try to be flexible with everyone’s personality, and I don’t always have the best equipment, but we work very
hard and will continue. When an artist is ready to be creative I am ready to help no matter what.
Q. How do you know that creating media for many in Acadiana is what you enjoy? (feel free to give an example)
A. I just worked on a video for Dr. C. & The Gris Gris in a local graveyard, and I was uncertain that I could deliver. I was uncertain
about offending people. I was nervous. I met the band and once we got there, the beginning was a little nerve wracking because the drummer was not able to hear the play back. I had to ask myself… can I do this? I had a friend (Hunter Trahan) helping me, and with his support we continued. After the second take, I just knew that it was right, and I was excited even though it was hot as hell and we were all unsure. It will be completed very soon and released on November 1st, 2017.
Q. How long have you been making videos?
A. I started in 2014. I started teaching myself editing. No shooting really, just video editing.
For a year I did some freelance wedding video editing for Acadiana Video Productions. After this I started to go on my own.
Q. What are you currently working on at this time?
A. After the Dr. C. & The Gris Gris release I am working on a music video for Dwight James & The Roylas.
Q. If someone wanted to contact you in the future about doing video production, editing, or videography what do they need to
do?
A. Just tell them to contact me by email at info@acadianaclick.com or website at www.acadianaclick.com
Q. Is there anything that you would like people to know about you before we let them read your videos below?
A. I would like people to know that I am passionate about what I do. I enjoy broadcasting people locally in Acadiana. It makes me happy to be able to do this and help others.
